Gearing up: 30 Black Friday deals to help your self-reliance and preparedness

Unless you've been living totally off-grid and away from modern American society for a long time, you're likely aware of the feeding frenzy that is Black Friday. However, this year, maybe you can take advantage of the sales craziness to save yourself some money on gear to enhance your self-reliance and/or preparedness planning. On the other hand, maybe you'll want to consider buying some of these items for your friends and family. (After all, Christmas is coming.)

Before we get to the specifics, Anita Freeman (my wife) thought that I should give you some websites to explore the large number of Black Friday deals for yourself — after all, this is a blog about self-reliance.  :)

Some related sites worth checking out are:
  • bfads.net: Claiming to be the "official" Black Friday site, they do provide a comprehensive list. (Most of the links below go to this site.)
  • blackfriday.gottadeal.com: This is the Black Friday sub-site to the main Gotta Deal page.
  • www.afullcup.com: Not particularly a Black Friday site, but they do offer links to great deals and coupons, which could help you snag an even better deal when you shop.

Below are 30 deals that we've chosen to highlight because they are related to self-reliance and/or preparedness planning. The list of stores is in alphabetical order for your convenience. Clicking on the stores' names will take you to their full listing of deals on bfads.net.

Disclosure: we receive nothing as compensation for these links; they're just deals that we thought our readers would be interested in. Enjoy!
